Market 246: Exceptional(er), more expensive Sprint in Germany

Giulietta Sprint 10102*350073. This Sprint is also available from Movendi for the price of 47,900 Euro’s or about $63,200 (!!!) at the time of writing.  This is not much than a 750E lightweight sold for last year… have times changed or is this car really that good?  They list the car as a 1959 but the number is for a 1962.
I’ve never seen the grills blacked out in this way before -very cool looking.  These guys know how to prep and photograph a car for sale. No cluttered background, no excuses detailing and just a sense of caring about the cars.

Market 245: Exceptional Expensive Sprint in Germany

Giulietta Sprint 10102*157933, 00102*30207. This restored Sprint is listed at Movendi for 44,900 Euro’s or about $59,200 at the time of writing.  The condition of the car is indeed exceptional except for adherence to originality in the interior, but I’ll make an exception since, while not original, it is extremely attractive.

This is one of those ‘better than new’ restorations you hope to one day buy.  You’ll see what I mean if you follow the vin number link to this cars photo page.  Sprints are great in white.

Market 241: Nice 750B in Portugal

Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*07790. This car is available now from FS Automoveis in Lisbon for the not outrageous but high asking price of 29,500 Euro’s -$38,800 on the day of writing.  Condition is good as far as can be discerned by the low quality pictures.

Good looking car!  It has a unified patina and shine -the kind of car you want to buy if you want to just drive it home and enjoy it.

Mercado 237: Clean Sprint in Mexico

Giulietta Sprint 10102*21176. This Sprint, assembled in Mexico by Willy’s Overland, is available now on MercadoLibre for $160,000 or about $12,500 of our USD’s.  Seller is a used car dealership who somehow ended up with the car when it came out of long time dormancy in a collection.  He states that everything except the engine is original and looking at the pictures I agree somewhat.  There are some changes but they are the sort of thing you had to do 30 years ago to a Giulietta to keep it running when parts were hard to find.

Woefully vague pictures show a pretty good car.  Everything seems to fit together well and all the trim is present.  Hood looks like it’s not latched.  One wiper? Continue reading “Mercado 237: Clean Sprint in Mexico”

Market 236: Cheap Interim Sprint roller shell

Update 7/31/10: Listing ended after being lowered to $1200 so I guess it sold!

Giulietta Sprint 10105*20051. This car out of Oakland Ca is listed as a classified ad right now on eBay.  I have seen the car in person and can honestly day it is a very big but doable project.  Best route for this is probably to weld it up, get a Miracle paint job and combine it with a cheap runner late 70’s Spider junker to make a hot rod/ cafe racer.  It is missing a lot but the parts are available.

Passenger side fender is a 750 item -not exactly the same as a 101 item but it can be made to work with some welding.  A pillar, the center of the windshield area and bottom of the door hinge area will be challenging.

Market 109: 1600 Sprint presentable driver

Update 4/25: This car sold for $16,350 with 24 bidders.  Not a bad result for a later Sprint that had no effort made to show any potentially rusty areas.  I think a trip to the detail shop like the subject of Market 106  would have resulted in better pictures which in turn would have resulted in a higher sale price.  If the new owner is interested in lower body trims, I think a set is on eBay right now.  Well bought I suspect.
Giulia Sprint 1600 10112*358476, 00112*11980, body 6531121. This car is available right now on eBay out of Washington. As I mentioned after the last Sprint sold on eBay for $18,700, they are probably going to be coming out of the woodwork with sellers trying to capitalize on that cars success. The beauty of this particular example is it can be driven immediately by the new owner and comes with the valuable original engine as well as an installed Giulia Sprint GT Veloce unit.

sprint-marchalI like this view of Sprints. Nice Marchal headlamp. Headlight ring looks a little distorted. Auction description says this area was repaired after an accident prior to the sellers ownership. My Sprint has been hit twice in this area. Oh well.
