We’ve moved! Giuliettas State of the Union

Welcome to the new giuliettas.com! I’m sure many of you noticed over the last few years that more advertisements were creeping into the site, and they were getting more intrusive and frankly more annoying. Well, that was the price of free, and as all the tech company privacy news has made us aware, free is usually the most expensive way to go. (steps off soap box). The new site will be much more adaptable for adding features, so I plan on moving all the pictures hosted on flickr to the site and more. Let me know in the comments if you find anything broken.

New staff member Thunderball will be approving all requests.

Anyway, after much wheel spinning, false starts, PTA meetings, shakes of the magic 8 ball and more, I gave up the notion of migrating the website myself and begged for help. Thanks to the efforts of a web savvy Alfa lover, giuiettas is now hosted by Bluehost – a paid plan, but a plan that gets rid of nuisance ads and gives me a new platform to build on.

Rufus is nearly old enough to ride in the front seat of my Sprint without a child seat, so it’s game on getting it in shape for regular use – and I assume game on with some enthusiasm for writing posts for the site. Also, my dad gave me the 1947 Chevy truck I wrote a few posts about a few years back, so I’ll be doing some work on it too.

Is anyone reading here anymore?

  1. I’m here was wondering what happened to you for awhile but now your back I’m Doug the guy that found the Sprint in LA, who has a GTV project but would trade for a Sprint project in a heartbeat. I’m in San Juan Bautista not too far nice to have you back occasionally.

  2. Doug,

Thanks for the comment, and thanks for inadvertently letting me know I am not getting comment notifications!

I know San Juan Bautista – a friend grew up there, and the Vertigo Church is there if I recall.

  3. Hello,

I have always liked this site and found it extremely interesting and informative, when I purchased my Sprint Veloce Confortevole it was good to find pre restoration details and photographs of it on here as well as details of how it got sold in the US to Europe. I cannot get any of the model links to open, they error to ‘500 internal error’. Please keep up the good work, I for one would happily pay an annual subscription to keep this alive and well.
Thank you. Kevin R from the UK.
