Update February 3 2016:Â This car has come back on the eBay market out of New York. Â It’s sold as a car with one owner for over 30 years – but I think that can be said for many many Giuliettas that come on the market – even mine! Â Interesting counterpoint to the Sprint out of Mexico I wrote about yesterday.
Bravo on a nice picture. Â I like the new yellow headlamps. Â I’m still at odds with the wire wheels. Â We’ll see how much value the clover leaf stickers and headlamps add.
Update January 12 2012: I have it on good word that this car has been sold.
Update January 7 2012: The time they are a changin’ for our favorite little coupe. Just 18 months ago this 750B Sprint 08689 struggled to reach $25,000 on eBay, and now, today it is listed for $64,500 by Fantasy Junction with a big ‘Sale Pending’ sign under it. It looks amazing in the photos, and with a two liter engine should be a blast to drive, but this price for an Abnormale? I guess.
A little wide in the stance with these wire wheels. Attention to detail is impressive, as is the coat of shine.
Update August 10  2010: 22 bids reaching $25,450 didn’t see the reserve met. I think it must have been close though, as nice as this car is it’s still not matching number or unmodified and the market for a car like this is always smaller than that for an original car. Look for the sequel on eBay where it ends about $2k cheaper than this time.
Giulietta 750B 1493*08689, 1315*07545 (originally -2 liter now) Bertone 658076. This car is on eBay right now out of New York. Aside from the immediately obvious wire wheels it has been modified somewhat, albeit tastefully, to look a bit more like the earlier 750 series Sprints and the bumper mounting brackets have been eliminated. Gauges have been replaced by Giulia Super items which is in my opinion not the best approach but probably helped with hooking up of the 2 liter engine that now powers it.
I just don’t know about wires on a Sprint… call me traditional or whatever, but they seem better suited to British cars with wood a major component in the build. This front end treatment is not as uncommon as you would think. I’ve seen a few others. All that said it is a great looking car!
Like mine only shinier, faster and with a sportier stance. Door shut lines look great but you have to work to make them less than great since they are so good from the factory.
Auction says only the carpet is new. If so then this is among the best original interiors I’ve seen. Gauges are weird but all in all they do work aesthetically in a Fiat 850 coupe sort of way.
Original? -looks like it to me. If so then there should be the number 076 or just 76 on the back of these carpet panels written in Italian long hand with grease pencil.
Auction says this is a hardura mat. Presence of rubber bumpers, prop wire connected to the boot lid and others give the sense of this being a well sorted car. No spare? No jack?
Borrani wires are desirable for lots of cars. They do look cool. Hmmm.
Description says drums were drilled for lightness… I think it was more for effect when looking through the spokes. Couldn’t be more than a pound or two of metal from all four. Again -looks cool though and that’s what it’s all about.
Fresh 2 liter in a very clean engine compartment. Good stuff. Original engine is not included but could probably be tracked down. Note how clean the underhood mat, struts and light are.

This is a pretty well done car as far as abnormale’s goes. Wirewheels are one of those ‘if that’s what you’re into’ things and I’d probably learn to like them after a few old guys complimented me at shows. The gauges, while not a deal breaker are odd as is the changes to the front end. All in all I think someone is going to really like this thing!
