Update 1/8/13: Â I have been told this car ended off eBay for $9200. Â Anyone here the intrepid new owner?
I guess they tried to cancel the auction and failed…
1/6/13: Giulietta Sprint 10105 1493*20108, 1315*010329. Â This car is on eBay right now out of Chiefland FL. with a current bid of $8000. Â I say barn find but it looks to be on the wrong side of the wall -out in the elements under a tarp next to a barn rather than in it. Â Condition is pretty good and I think a weekend spent detailing it would yield a nice enough car. Â The engine turns over so the next weekend you could probably make it run. Â I’d do the detailing first, because if it doesn’t run you may get discouraged and not clean it up at all.
Drivers side headlight needs some attention. Â Foglights are a neat addition. Hood fit is excellent. Â Missing windshield trim??
Missing trunk lock is in one of the parts pictures. Â Badges are easy enough to get. Â Bumpers can be had. Â Plate holder looks like an MG item. Â Trunk and doors fit very well.
Good thing they got it off the ground with some jacks/ramps -helps keep it dry. Â No rocker trims? Â I like it!
1600 valve cover. Â Head doesn’t appear to have ‘tabs’. Â Funky fuel line routing. Â Buyer could get $500 or more for that Veloce air box. Â I think the right valve cover is in one of the pictures.
Vacuum, clean and polish -will look very good. Â 20107 also has a back seat. Â
Ashtrays are hard to get – hopefully this one is in a box somewhere. Â I think these are later black face gauges like those used in 1600 Spiders and SS’s. Â I see one small crack in the steering wheel.
Pretty good!

I saw this and thought, wow not bad. I looked up the vin, and the engine number doesn’t seem to be a match (between the two). Not a big deal though if you want a nice driver. I saw that veloce box and the 1600 cover and it made me think there might be some work to do to the engine but its hard to tell from here.
Mark,
I would consider 20108 with 010329 a matching number. I have 20379 and it has 010669. The numbers were not pulled sequentially, the engine sequence was shared between Spiders and Sprints and there were a lot of Veloce’s in this part of the series. The difference between the vin’s and engines got farther and farther apart but remains ‘matching’.
Thanks for the comment,
Matt

Matt,
I tried to buy the car this morning as its only 100 miles from me but he sold it……
Selling Price 9,200.00 The back seat thing was really interesting to me..

Interesting that they would get a bunch of bids and have it go to $8000 then suddenly decide to end it for $9200. A good buy? Probably…
