2010 Sprint and Sprint Veloce market review

As usual there were fewer Sprints than Spiders.  Other than some repeat customers, it was a lot of cars coming out of hiding.  Looks like you need to get in to the high teens money-wise to get into something that moves under its own power.   As usual they are presented in order of cheapest to most expensive.
Market 262 was Sprint 10105 20827, for sale out of Pennsylvania for $750 -probably the cheapest Sprint of the year.

2010 Spider and Spider Veloce market review

2010 saw a lot of Spiders change hands around the world, from the roughest of the probably-impossible projects to the top of the market concours trailer queens. I did my best to take little snapshots as they passed with pictures matched to vin numbers and sale prices, but I probably missed a bunch. Anyway, here they are, cheapest to most expensive. Where no sale price was recorded I made an educated guess.  Last year I had more time so I did the Veloce’s separate -this year they are combined.  Lot of cars this year!
Market 230 was abomination “Jiuliet Spider Velosh” 750F*04640 selling for $1136.

Market 275: Refreshed red Spider in California

Giulietta Spider 10103/4 1495*08598. This car is on eBay right now out of Moss Beach California.  Seller describes as it as a street quality restoration -I’d call it more of a refresh, but either way it’s a nice car with no immediate needs and the bones to be a really nice car with some attention to detail focused fiddling.
Paint almost looks wet.  Door and hood shut lines look really good.  Chrome is described as all new.  A Ducati 900 SS beside it?

Market 273: Sprint Veloce from Market 72

Giulietta Sprint Veloce 750E 1493*06930, 1315*31248. This car, on eBay right now, first hit the giuliettas dot com radar in December of 2008 with Market 72 -a racer that had a little mishap in the parking lot ending up with it running into a trailer.  As it is presented now, the bodywork up front has been done and the car resprayed along with some light detailing.  Asking price has been upped from $28,000 to $32,500.
The car looks to have been lowered since the last time it appeared for sale.  Repairs to the front look pretty good as does the paint -though it’s very hard to tell the quality of a white paint job from pictures.

Market 272: Sorry Sprint in the French countryside

Olivier in France turned me on to this Sprint.  He says it’s likely near Bourgogne.  Car looks pretty rough but complete and in ‘as parked’ condition- kind of how my Sprint would look if I disappeared in South America for 20 years and it found itself rolled out into a wet field in which to await my return.
Eventually there wont be any Sprints like this.  I think what happens on the hood is water gets in the holes the hood spear attaches through and the water fills the lowest front edge of the hood with water and it rots.  On my car it gets in and fills up the spark plug holes.

Market 276: Good 101 Sprint project 20004

Giulietta Sprint 10105 1493*20004. I didn’t write about this one while it was active, but it went unsold after 16 bids brought it to $8522.  Very original interior remains and all in all the seller is correct that this should be a straight forward project.  Heck, maybe just do the brakes, clean out the carb and go for it!
Yep, metallic black.  No, really.  Rockabilly-bling!
