Giulietta Sprint 10102*158831. This car is listed on Craigslist out of St.Charles, IL for the asking price of $29,000. The seller claims the 1600 engine is original but this car should have a 00102 series 1300 (around # 00102*24900) unless it was made for some market d’Amico & Tabucchi don’t know about. Looks like a really nice car!

Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*03396. This 1956 column shift Sprint is on eBay right now out of Medina Ohio with a current, reserve not met price of $2500 after 14 bids and 9 days to go. Car sports a set of later egg-crate style grills but the headlights still appear to be the early small type so I doubt the body has been altered. Check it out.
6″ lights I think -good thing the buckets are present -too bad the lights themselves are ruined. Hood spear has been abused. 101 grills can probably be fit without much effort on an early car.

Market 254: Spider Spider "Black Plate"."Desert Find!"
Update 9/7/10: This car sold for the buy it now price of $13,900 after 20 bids and a full run at auction -would’ve saved someone some trouble to just have gone for it right from the start.
Giulietta Spider 10103*171756, 00102*28201. After a mere 4 clicks (home, motors, used:alfa, this listing) from their homepage you can be looking at this car on eBay right now (or you can click on the link). It’s in Northridge California which makes me think it’s the same seller as the first who offered M213 on eBay. Buy it now is a probably realistic $13,900.
Don’t let the cops see this thing parked in a handicap spot unless it’s a spot for handicapped cars. Door and hood shut lines look about right. Yellow looks like the yellow used to ‘colorize’ black and white movies in the 80’s. Giulietta Sprint radio blank plate options
I got an email from Jock in Australia asking me for recommendations for a radio blank plate for his Sprint. I spent a few minutes looking through the ‘Sprint Collection‘ I’ve built on Flickr and came up with these examples of how it has been handled. I had no idea there were so many variations!
If I had to point to a blanking plate and say ‘that’s the right one’, this is the one I’d point out. These come up for sale occasionally on eBay and are not too expensive. The center badge and chrome strips have threaded studs and are removable. Giulietta Spider 10104*09081. Sheesh! I go on vacation for 4 days and I somehow miss an auction entirely. This car was on eBay for about 5 minutes and has apparently been sold. Closing bid was $3950 -not sure if that was the selling price. Without further ado…

Market 230: "Juliet Spider Velosh"!
Update 9/7/10: Well, this sad case has been reduced to an ending -no reserve met- total of $1136 after 3 bids. On the bright side, the phrase ‘Tennessee Velosh!” has entered the Alfa Giulietta lexicon.
Update 8/23/10: This feller is back on eBay -some lucky motoring enthusiast can buy it now for $2700 and figure out what to do with it later. Woot!
Update 7/10/10: Someone liked this enough to buy it now for $2500. Â In one of the Q&A responses the seller says emphatically that this car can’t be returned to stock. Â With these cars likely to be $100K by the end of the decade I’m sure some intrepid soul is hoping to prove the seller wrong.
Giulietta Spider Veloce 750F 1495*04640 (or 750F 03305), 1315*31655 (Not included). Tennessee is the home of this Spider that’s on eBay right now. Â Vin on the title with the car is 03305, vin on the build plate is 04640 and the vin on the body is unknown -if I had to bet on which is accurate I’d put my money on the title. Â It’s ironic/sad/frustrating that someone took a roller 58 Spider Veloce probably worth $10 – 15K of todays money, spent 6 years ruining it by altering it to fit a V8 and Toyota suspension and now are hoping to get $2500 out of it. Â This is what you call a lose-lose situation -I bet they threw out the sheet metal they cut out of it too.
What do you do with something like this? Â It’s probably unusable in its current form with all that weight over the front axle, way too much power for the rear end to grip and poor visibility with that scoop.

Market 251: Apart for 40 years 1955 750B Sprint
Update 8/18/10: That was fast. I didn’t see a ‘Buy it Now’ option last night when I wrote this up and now the car has been sold for $8995. Probably a better deal for the buyer than seller, but if the buyer is half way around the world it’s an $11,000 + transaction by the time it’s in the garage.
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*01365, 1315*01432 (not included -blank replacement instead). Just when you thought the last worthy early Sprint project had been unearthed and sold and you missed your chance -another comes along, just like this one available on eBay now. Just imagine tracking down all the original Fontana and Lobo nuts and bolts!

Market 250: SSweet projects o' mine
Giulietta SS 10120*00413, 00121*02334 & Giulia SS 10121*380211, 00121*00271. Liquidation sale!! Well, sort of… I am in the first months of a new business venture I helped start and have spent exactly *zero* hours on my SS projects since it started. I have more excuses but that one is the most immediate. In the case of the Giulia it’s not hard to part since we barely got to know one another, but the Giulietta has been a needy companion for a few years and saying goodbye will be hard. I’ve started down this path a few times -selling my projects that is- but just couldn’t do it when it came right down to it. This time will be different I hope.
The first picture I ever saw of my Giulietta Sprint Speciale. This car is a lot less rusty than I thought it would be when I bought it. The black finish is a very tough rust encapsulator that I have cursed countless times.

Market 168: Giulietta Sprint fixed up 'My way'
Update 8/16/10: This car is now for sale out of San Francisco on eBay. Seller is an Alfa enthusiast I know personally and good guy so I am confident things are as described.
Vroom! Tough looking Sprint -this is the type of minimal approach I plan on taking with my Giulietta SS if it stays in my keeping.
Update 1/24/10: It’s not very often that a car manages a higher finish the second time around on eBay, but then again it’s not very often that someone bothers to post more/better pictures, and an expanded description including a viable explanation for the failure of the first campaign. Very well done at $17,601.
Update 1/17/10: “I sold this alfa on ebay a few weeks ago to a delightful gentleman who planned to drive it back to his home in Mexico City. That, by the way, impressed the hell out of me!! But after some second thoughts he decided it probably was too risky. We mutually agreed to cancel the deal. So here it is relisted and available again for the eager, the brave and the hardcore.” Nice. There are some new and improved pictures as well.
Update 12/7/09: This car sold for $15,967 after 31 bids were placed. A reader expressed surprise at this result, thinking it would sell for more. I think the result is about right. Most people are going to want to change it -whether it means a bigger engine or a correction of some of it to a more original spec. This car represents a good buy in my opinion.
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*06702, 1315*05885. This car is on eBay right now from the collection of an Alfisti in southern California, known for both the rarity of his cars and his willingness to do his own thing when fixing them up to put them back on the road. Originality police will no doubt give this car a hard time, but it was probably done when these cars were $2500 for runners and restoration parts were few, far between and expensive. He has sold some odd stuff in the past like a 2 door Giulia Super conversion and a Giulia Super truck conversion but of all the things he’s sold, I still wish I had gotten a loan and bought the Giulia Promiscua he sold through Fantasy Junction a few years ago!
I like these cars with out the brightwork. Grill opening bars are adapted to this car from elsewhere… an early 750 Sprint or Spider perhaps. Stance of this car on the Panasports is tight and the paint and shut lines look good in the pictures. Most missing trim is said to be included in the sale. Market 249: Odd but nice Sprint 1600 in Italy
Giulia Sprint 1600 10112. This car is available now out of Italy for 25,000 Euro’s. It sports some odd treatments but looks to be a really nice car -I especially like the color combo.
