Market 286: "Structurally Magnificent" 1600 Spider

Giulia Spider 1600 10123*378523, 00112*13849. Fantasy Junction, my local $ports and $pecialty car dealer, has in their showroom now this late 1600 Spider, a good example of why you try and buy a car out of California.  As rust free as you could ask for and priced to match at $44,500.  Their site lists it as ‘sale pending’ so move fast if this is your thing.
FJ always has this angle and for good reason -a handsome car made even more handsome.  Looks good no?

Market 284: Giulietta SS 00228

Giulietta Sprint Speciale 10120*00228, 00120*00627. You may note that this is the fifth SS in a row I’ve found on the market and written about.  Good time to be shopping for a nice one.  This particular car is in Germany at Movendi -“The spirit of classic cars’.  Price is 49,900 Euro’s or about $65,000.
I’m running out of words here.  Nice, red, shiny, well turned out and with its hood slightly ajar.  Cool.

Market 282: Nice original Giulia SS in Belgium

This Giulia SS is offered by Mecanic Import out of Belgium with a current listing on eBay for $56,000.  The seller claims it is has “never received a ground up restoration, but kept in good condition over the years”.  I see some trivial non-original stuff but all in all it looks like a great car.  The fact that it is being marketed to the USA from Belgium makes me wonder if the market is going soft in Europe for SS’s.  If that’s the case we may see a softening here in the US too.  Hmmm.
Nice down-low perspective shot.  Bright stuff looks -well- bright.  Passenger side wiper arm looks a little wayward.

Market 281: Giulia SS project in France

This Giulia SS is in France and appears to be a better than average starting point.  I think the deal is, they are starting to restoring it and are hoping to find someone to buy it now and choose a color, specification and whatnot.  Whatever the case -it’s good to see these are still coming out of the woodwork.
What have we here… ah, a nice SS project lurking in the shadows.

Market 280: Giulietta SS racer

Marko sent me a link to this race prepped Giulietta SS, available on mobile.de, with a seller located in Italy.  The asking price is 57,900 Euro’s or about $77,500.  Seems like a lot, but there is no telling what was done to make it a race car.  If anyone knows the VIN for this car, let me know.
The airbrush job on the background is interesting.  Wheels are later small-hole Borrani’s.

Market 279: Stripped and ready for action Spider

Giulietta Spider 10103 1713XX is on eBay right now out of Colorado.  Car is stripped to expose all potential problem areas and all in all it’s better than most projects of this sort.  Logistics of getting it home is probably more of an issue than condition here.
Nose has had the typical carelessness bumps, requiring some skill to repair.  Color looks to have been gray.

2010 Sprint and Sprint Veloce market review

As usual there were fewer Sprints than Spiders.  Other than some repeat customers, it was a lot of cars coming out of hiding.  Looks like you need to get in to the high teens money-wise to get into something that moves under its own power.   As usual they are presented in order of cheapest to most expensive.
Market 262 was Sprint 10105 20827, for sale out of Pennsylvania for $750 -probably the cheapest Sprint of the year.

2010 Spider and Spider Veloce market review

2010 saw a lot of Spiders change hands around the world, from the roughest of the probably-impossible projects to the top of the market concours trailer queens. I did my best to take little snapshots as they passed with pictures matched to vin numbers and sale prices, but I probably missed a bunch. Anyway, here they are, cheapest to most expensive. Where no sale price was recorded I made an educated guess.  Last year I had more time so I did the Veloce’s separate -this year they are combined.  Lot of cars this year!
Market 230 was abomination “Jiuliet Spider Velosh” 750F*04640 selling for $1136.
