Update 3/15/11: This car is now on eBay being sold out of Michigan. No new pictures are available.
More information on early style 750B Sprints.
2/2/10: Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*02880, 1315*02671. This car, a 1956, is available right now from the seller of Market 179, another early Sprint project. Â Asking price for the pair is about $27,000. Â I can put you in contact with the seller if you want to figure out a separate price.
Paint was removed to assess body condition. Â Looks fairly straight under the current splotch. Â Is that a Jolly beside it? Continue reading “Market 184: project Sprint 02880”

Update 1/12/11: Back for more on eBay!
Update 12/15/10: 19 bids with a high of $4459.44 left the reserve unmet.
Giulietta Sprint 10102*350206, 00102*30507. This car is on eBay right now out of New Jersey. Some small stuff is missing but all in all it is a fairly complete and worthy project -as long as the price doesn’t get too high -it’s under $600 as I write.
Nose is busted up but not too bad. I like this color on Sprints -there is one in my area this color and in person the color suits it very well.

Market 281: Giulia SS project in France
This Giulia SS is in France and appears to be a better than average starting point. I think the deal is, they are starting to restoring it and are hoping to find someone to buy it now and choose a color, specification and whatnot. Whatever the case -it’s good to see these are still coming out of the woodwork.
What have we here… ah, a nice SS project lurking in the shadows.

Market 279: Stripped and ready for action Spider
Giulietta Spider 10103 1713XX is on eBay right now out of Colorado. Car is stripped to expose all potential problem areas and all in all it’s better than most projects of this sort. Logistics of getting it home is probably more of an issue than condition here.
Nose has had the typical carelessness bumps, requiring some skill to repair. Color looks to have been gray.

Market 272: Sorry Sprint in the French countryside
Olivier in France turned me on to this Sprint. He says it’s likely near Bourgogne. Car looks pretty rough but complete and in ‘as parked’ condition- kind of how my Sprint would look if I disappeared in South America for 20 years and it found itself rolled out into a wet field in which to await my return.
Eventually there wont be any Sprints like this. I think what happens on the hood is water gets in the holes the hood spear attaches through and the water fills the lowest front edge of the hood with water and it rots. On my car it gets in and fills up the spark plug holes.

Market 276: Good 101 Sprint project 20004
Giulietta Sprint 10105 1493*20004. I didn’t write about this one while it was active, but it went unsold after 16 bids brought it to $8522. Very original interior remains and all in all the seller is correct that this should be a straight forward project. Heck, maybe just do the brakes, clean out the carb and go for it!
Yep, metallic black. No, really. Rockabilly-bling!

Market 268: SS project in France
Giulia SS. This project is currently available in France. I have to assume it’s not complete or they would have shown more pieces. Anyone here care to send me a translation of the ad?
Was red. Note there is a lot of the car missing below the A pillar in front of the door jamb. Maybe a door in the car?

Market 263: Spider 10103… Endless Restoration
Update 10/14/10:Car sold for $23,995 after 21 bids -a good result.
Update 10/11/10: Seller has made the smart move of installing that missing headlight, took some new photos and relisted it. About 3 days to go and it’s $16,000 as I write.

Update 10/6/10: 23 bids were placed resulting in a high of $17,100 with reserve not met. I’m not surprised from either end -it’s too far from done to go for more and too much has been invested to let it go for probably less than low $20K’s.
Giulietta Spider 10103*167419, 00102*14739. I’m aware that to call a car a stalled project or endless restoration isn’t very helpful, especially considering it seems to be the norm for a project to go unfinished for years, whether a rusty backyard ‘someday’ car or that concours restoration that would be done if the correct ‘LOBO’ bolts could be found for mounting the steering box, in anycase, this car, on eBay now out of Indiana, is the odd car that despite good intentions and a trickle of resources over the years, seems to have moved nearly perpendicular to a normal restoration path… -a lot remains to be done and redone (sadly) but it has survived, is rust free and includes a lot of really well prepared parts to assemble to it.
Avast ye mateys -where’s me eye patch ARRR. It’s hard to picture a red Giulietta Spider as a pirate. Looking not too bad here except the chunk of paint missing from the nose.

Market 264: 1957 750B Sprint puzzle in Sweden
Update: The UK guy is not the owner AND both door panels are included. I can still put you in contact with the seller if you want…
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*04386. A guy in the UK asks a guy in San Francisco Bay Area to list a car he has stored in Sweden… of course! This small headlight, matching number 1957 750B project is available now for the reasonable 9000 Euro’s. Email me (sprints at giuliettas dot com) if you want a direct email address for the seller.
Looks like a Sprint to me. Door fit is great, nose is pretty good and the hood fit is good enough as a place to start. Kind of an odd color combo with beige and rusty orange wheels -original was Grigio Chiarissimo. Windows and trim look good.

Market 262: 101 Sprint shell in PA
Giulietta Sprint 10105 1493*20827. This car, or at least what’s left of it is available right now in Philadelphia Pennsylvania for $750 obo. It has been pretty thoroughly stripped but I see some good stuff still attached including a decent early steering wheel, pedal box, rear end and some trim/headlight parts. Would make a great 24 hours of Lemons car! Contact me for more info.
Looks decent for the asking price -straight body with rust etc. I could use those clear turn signal lenses myself! I don’t think the engine seen here is included.
