Giulietta SS 10120*00413, 00121*02334 & Giulia SS 10121*380211, 00121*00271. Liquidation sale!! Well, sort of… I am in the first months of a new business venture I helped start and have spent exactly *zero* hours on my SS projects since it started. I have more excuses but that one is the most immediate. In the case of the Giulia it’s not hard to part since we barely got to know one another, but the Giulietta has been a needy companion for a few years and saying goodbye will be hard. I’ve started down this path a few times -selling my projects that is- but just couldn’t do it when it came right down to it. This time will be different I hope.
The first picture I ever saw of my Giulietta Sprint Speciale. This car is a lot less rusty than I thought it would be when I bought it. The black finish is a very tough rust encapsulator that I have cursed countless times.
Not the first but one of the first good pictures of the Giulia. Lots more pictures here.

Market 224: Giulia SS in Austria
Giulia Sprint Speciale 10121*381221, 00121*01213. This car is for sale in Austria on Mobile.de. It has some odd wrong parts on it but overall is in good shape. It can be yours for 49,900 Euro’s or $60,800… quite a bit less in the dollar world that this time last year.
Good looking clean example of a fairly late model SS. Hood fits great and all the trim is present and needs nothing. Europe has some big license plates!
Market 218: Nice original Giulia SS at auction
Giulia SS 10121*381349. On June 6th in Greenwich CT Bonhams will hold an auction and among the lots is Lot 437, one 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale with a claimed 33,000 miles on the odometer and a fairly clean, original appearance. Estimate is $40,000 – $60,000, which ranges from realistic to slightly optimistic but not out of the question.
This is a good looking car. Door gaps are invisible, ride height is perfect, bright work and paint are very nice. I’d lose that front license plate in a hurry.

Market #29: Nice Red Giulia Sprint Speciale in Los Angeles
Update 4/26/10: This car is back on eBay with the same pictures and a zero feedback seller. Scam? Chances are…Â
Update 7/2/08. Auction has been pulled off eBay as of about 1pm. I guess I was right to express my doubts about the validity of this auction. Buyers beware, this is the third time I have personally seen pictures from this group used to create a fake eBay auction. Has anyone ever fallen for one of these scams?
Giulia Sprint Speciale 10121*380999. This car is available right now on eBay out of Los Angeles with a starting bid of $45,200. This particular car, with these pictures has been on eBay twice in the last year, once in Hayward California and once in Savannah Georgia. On both of those occasions the auction was pulled within a day of being posted. Is this the real seller offering this car for sale right now? I don’t know, but more pictures and information is provided in this auction than either of the other two and both the others had buy it now prices that were way under market for this car, I think less than $20,000. There is no reserve and the starting bid is slightly under market for this car if everything checks out. Maybe this is a real no-scam auction.
No engine number is given so I would first ask about the number and request a picture of the number on the engine to make sure the stamping looks unaltered. In this price range, you have to verify everything. I would guess the engine number would turn out to be in the range 00121*00850 – 00121*01150.
Is it just me or is the bumper corner on the drivers side drooping a little? The supports and bracketry in this area are not very robust and as such easily damaged but also easily realigned. Other than that it looks great!

Market 198: Giulia SS in Peru
Update 3/16/10: 10 bids, $24,100, apparently sold. Not a bad result for a car halfway around the world from most people who would be interested in it. Any takers here? Drop me a line.
Giulia SS 10121*380557, 00121*00518. This car is available now out of Peru on eBay. Looks like a nice original car. A lot of people I know have fears of South American cars since a lot of the time they were kept running on no budget, with whatever parts were on hand. While I wouldn’t lay out the same money for this car in an eBay auction as for one in my home town, shipping charges aside, I also wouldn’t discount it out of hand. These were never cheap and therefore never (well, probably not never) used as a truck.
Cute kid. In 20 years he’s going to find this picture and be mad the car is gone. Trim panel fit etc all looks really good. Windshield wipers are doing their own thing.
Market 191: Giulia SS in France
This RHD Giulia SS is available right now out of France for 29,500 Euro’s or $39,700 at time of writing. I’m not certain, but looking at the pictures I think this is the car that Alfa workshop in the UK has on their web site. How many Bluette right hand drive SS’s can there be? If anyone knows the VIN I’d be happy to add it to my register.
This is a great color for a Sprint Speciale -if I ever get a Giulia SS I’ll paint it this color.   All you can really tell from pictures of this low resolution is that it’s an SS and it looks great from far away.
Market 170: Nicely restored silver Giulia SS
Update 2/13/10: I had the nephew of the seller contact me with some links to videos and more pictures. Â Car is still available. Â Enjoy.

The start up -nice induction bark.

Too bad they couldn’t get out on a track and really go for it.
Looking good -very good. Â More pictures here.

Market 156: Giulia SS 380642 in Italy
Giulia Sprint Special 10121*380642. While perusing their garden of arcane delights I found this announcement on Anamera of Coys intent to auction this Padova Italy based car. Estimated selling price is 38,000 Euro’s or $56,700 of our recently depressed US dollars. I would call this near retail for a nice SS that is not really perfect but doesn’t have much in the way of wants.
It’s always tough to judge these cars because even the slightest deviation from a perfectly head on picture makes them look a little asymetric.   Drivers side corner of this car looks ever so slightly lower than passenger corner and all it takes to cause this is an odd reflction. It’s all part of the hand made charm. Bright work is all present and pretty good, though I would guess the headlights are mismatched in some way -whether age or brand. Where in Italy is GR? Market 143: RHD Giulia SS project
Update 9/15/09: This car sold for 16,100 pounds “inclusive of buyer’s premium” which I think means that the fees associated with the sale are included in this number.  This is $26,500 in our US money and about what I would have predicted had it been on eBay instead of at a live auction in England. Assuming the buyer inspected this car before bidding, I imagine the condition of the body was better than expected from a rust point of view.Â
Giulia Sprint Speciale 10121*380459, 00121*00897.  Bonhams will be auctioning off this Speciale on September 12th 2009 at their Beaulieu National Motor Museum auction. Bringatrailer brought this car to my attention and their write up is right on. Pictures are limited, but even the best pictures tend to be misleading. If you are looking for a right hand drive SS, make the trip to the auction.
I suppose you could turn that slotch into a number meatball. Other than being dirty it seems to fit together well and being an Alfa, it could probably be put on the road without too much fuss as just about every part needed is available and not expensive.
Market 135: Giulia SS in France
Giulia SS 10121*380456, 00121*01135. This car is available here in France now. Has been finished to a high, but awkward standard.
Nothing wrong here well, the upper lip does seem to stick out a bit more than usual, perhaps a trick of the photographers angle. Yellow headlight bulbs? I like.
