Update 4/16/13: Â They all show up eventually it seems and this fellow is no exception -find it here on eBay. Â Car body is described as having been restored in the Czech Republic, the mechanicals in Germany. Â I suspect the owner handled a lot of the little details that would eat up hundreds of paid hours. Â I can’t really comment on the asking price -I imagine the seller has quite a bit in it to have taken it to this level. Â I am quite taken by this color -maybe a good choice for my Sprint.
Very very nice. Â Â I need one of these front plate brackets. Â Continue reading “Market 364: Fantastic early 750B 03811 in Switzerland”
Market 457: Sprint 750B (not) 06035 for $98,000!
Update:Â Thanks Greig for straightening the numbers out for me -I was going off the top of my head when I said 06011 -should be 06611. Â So yes, the seller has their numbers wrong… including the price
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*06035, (was) 1315*05570. Â This car is listed on Craigslist out of Brooklyn, NY. Â It looks like a nice enough car and all, but has some drawbacks… especially at this price. Â On a side note, it’s the earliest second series body style Sprint I’ve seen. Â So we know 06011Â 06611 was a series 1 and now 06035 is a series 2 -neat! Â “The only one in the world with this perfection.”
It certainly looks nice here. Â Has a GTV era Bertone badge on the lower front fender and no rocker trims. Â Cute little fog/driving lights. Â 14″ (or are they 13″) rims from a ?. Â Left and right grills look painted. Â I do like the white.

Market 446: Sprint 750B 09141 in Washington
Update 12/12/12:Â A reader has commented that this car has sold for $42,000 and another reminded me that the Craigslist price was $18,000 obo. Â Such a deal!
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*09141, 1315*07630. Â Cosmopolitan Motors appears to have been the ones who picked up this car that was sold out of an estate sale a while back for $20,000 OBO. Â A few guys who I correspond with on occasion were trying to buy it so I looked at pictures of it a few times back then – unfortunately I didn’t save any. Â Looks like a really nice original-ish car. Â I wonder what the current asking is?? Â Thanks for sending me this Zen.
One could definitely do worse than this as Sprints go. Â Has Autorouche (sp?) headlights same as Jeff has on his Giulia SS. Â Hood fits very very well.

Artcurial Automobiles sur les Champs 4 – Giuliettas at auction
I can take a hint guys! A few of you pointed me in the direction of Arcurial’s ‘Automobiles sur les Champs 4’ auction taking place in a few days where four Giuliettas will be sold. Check it out!
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*03793, 1315*03496. Nice early Sprint Normale expected to make 24,000 – 30,000 Euro’s. Probably the good deal of the four they are offering.
A lot of effort went into this car to make it look good. Correct 155 series tires, great fit and finish all around. Small headlamps are a big selling point for some collectors.

Market 411: Sprint 750B series 1, no vin
Update 7/1/12: Why didn’t I buy this !?!?

Giulietta Sprint 750B. This car is on eBay right now out of Alamo Ca from a classic car dealer who seems to have set up shop there recently. Alamo is an old, affluent town near me and probably home to a lot of good cars like this waiting to be unearthed. This car has the 7″ lights, the first series body style and is not a Veloce so it’s vin number is in a pretty limited range. I asked the seller if the Bertone body number was intact -will report what they say. How do you register a car with no vin? Not sure.
One wonders where it was hiding. Body looks great on the outside. Trim isn’t too bad for a rough project. I like it!
Market 401: Sprint 750B 05731 -Very nice!!
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493*05731, 1315*05212, Bertone body 655119. There has been keen interest on my site without me writing about this if click thru’s from a comment to the ad are any indication! Several correspondents have reported it’s availability and finally, here I am getting a post about it up. The car is nicely finished, with only a few incorrect details that can easily be rectified. I like a Sprint in silver with red interior -looks just like a car I have pictures of from a guy in Sacramento circa 1990.
Looks phenomenal from this angle, with nice even paint, over a tight fitting body and precisely fitted trim. These pictures are very artful, but not great for assaying the quality of the specimen.

Market 396: 1954 Sprint in Bulgaria
Giulietta Sprint 750B. Henrik sent me a link to this car a couple of days ago. Car is in Bulgaria and exhibits all the usual characteristics of an older car that’s been kept on the road through a combination of the clever application of incorrect parts as needed, and changes made to suit the tastes of the owner -a lot like the cars that come out of Mexico or South America. No vin number is stated, but if it’s a 1954, it must be between 1493.00011 and 00023 according to Fusi, or ‘somewhere in that neighborhood’ if other known chassis numbers from this era are any indication. If anyone knows the chassis number, let me know!
Body looks pretty good. Has the small headlights . Is that a ‘short’ windshield?   Wheels look like Fiat or some eastern block equivalent. Wipers look modern.
Market 375: Sprint shell 750B 07103
Giulietta Sprint 750B 1493.07103. This car is on Craigslist out of Pittsburgh PA. It’s rough -really rough, and incomplete, and rusty. Was raced SCCA production G. This will probably be the cheapest Sprint of 2012…
Sprints always look optimistic to me, something about the shape of the grill openings or shape of the headlight area. Does it come with doors?
Market 243: Small headlight Sprint 01682 in Australia
Update 1/14/12: This car has turned up in Australia with an asking price of $32,500 or about $33,400 US. I also got a tip that it was available in Southern California, but apparently, it’s an old link. The seller from 8/2010 confirmed it’s in Australia.
You don’t see this angle often unless you or your neighbor has a Sprint and you have a second story balcony overlooking the parking area. I want a first series Sprint project. Maybe after the 750D project that’s after the Glas GT project.

Market 306: 2 Sprint package deal in Greece
Giulietta Sprint 10102*156687 & 750B 1493*09653. Dimitrios sent me an email letting me know this pair of cars was available from a private party in Greece for €31,000 -about $44,700. The first car is a good driver without the original engine and not a Veloce according to d’Amico and Tabucchi. Second car is all apart and in bare metal. Some of the more prominent trim can be seen in the pictures as can some duplicate mechanical stuff, but no mention is made of an engine or transmission. If you’re interested, send me an email and I’ll get you in contact with the seller.
First the driver. Externally this car is in good shape with excellent panel fit, very fine trim/chrome and that purposeful poise of a car that gets used. There are several pictures of this car in the Flickr set (click on the VIN to go there) participating in an event in Greece.
