Update 6/30/11: Failed to sell for $24,500.

Giulietta Spider 10103*169986. DriverSource out of Houston Texas, who have had a few cars listed on this site over the years now has this Spider listed on eBay. While it has its problems, it is a pretty good place to start Giulietta Spider ownership -as it runs, drives, stops, is complete, and doesn’t have gaping holes. On top of that it’s a good looking enough car that you wont feel bad using it as is until you can get a coat of original gray paint back on it (or whatever you want but I advise gray).
Wow guys -great composition! The green, the red, the blue, the road, the horizon. Nice looking car too.

Market 313: Nice survivor Sprint on Bring a Trailer
Giulietta Sprint 10105 1493*21069. Bring a Trailer has this car listed as an exclusive for a long time owner. A good portion of the paint is original Amber White, interior is original. Engine was rebuilt 30 years ago to Veloce spec though aside from manifold and carbs, a cold air/filter system needs to be purchased. Asking price is $23,500. A bit high by usual Sprint project standards, but this is no ‘usual’ Sprint project. A Sprint buyer looking for originality, no rust, black plates, complete history etc will have no problem paying for this. I suspect it is sold as I write, but I want to share this beauty with any Giuliettas readers who are not BaT readers.
Resprayed door is apparent in this picture. Lost headlight ring? I still want a pair of these lenses. You still have that one for me Brad?

Market 311: 'Dazzling' 1959 Normale Spider
Update 5/29/11: 1 bid, reserve not met. So it goes.

Giulietta Spider 10103. This car is on eBay right now out of Oak Park Ill. Seller has had it 12 years and doesn’t state a selling reason -perhaps they saw an opening -a dry spell where no good Giulietta’s have been listed on eBay for a while. Looks like a fine car in an unusual color combo -off white with blue interior..
I like the dusky light here. Everything looks good on the body. No vin is stated but if someone catches it let me know so this guy can take its place in the register.

Market 310: 101 Spider in Florida
Update: Seller ended the auction early to honor a verbal contract he thought had fallen through -even though bidding had surpassed the contract price. The honorable thing to do.
Giulietta Spider 10103*170509, 00102*25833. This Spider is available right now on eBay. Seller is out of Florida and has been featured here a few times selling cars like this. The car would be a great candidate to get going and use as is if it weren’t for some ugly rust. It’s fixable but it’s not going to be fun!
Originally gray with red, now red with red. Front end looks pretty good -trim and all is straight.

Market 301: Giulia SS project 381313
Update 5/9/11: After an Atlantic crossing this feller has been put back up for sale. This time in the UK. Check it out. Make an offer. Description is a little odd -saying the restoration process was started 6 – 7 months ago…
“The car needs to be restored.I start the restoration process 6-7 months ago,but I don’t have the money to finish it.The body is in excellent shape. The engine starts and runs perfect ( no mechanical problems ).Matching numbers. Excellent car to restore.”

Update 4/13/11: 18 bids, $32,750. Not bad!

Originally posted 4/5/11: Giulia Sprint Speciale 10121*381313, 00121*01302. This car is on eBay right now from Gullwing in New York after spending a few weeks on their site listed with an asking price of $32,000. There have been a lot of SS’s moving around the last couple of months, from record setting auction results and record setting asking prices, to rough projects and everything in between. This car is obviously at the ‘rough projects’ end of the spectrum, but the matching number engine with correct intake components, the lack of any substantial rust or accident damage and the presence of much of the unique to SS’s trim makes this a pretty good starting point, even better if you’re a skilled DIYer who is enthusiastic to own one of these. Bidding at time of writing is $18,200, reserve not met. Check out BaT’s mention here and especially the comments -lots of humorous somewhat uninformed opinions peppered with wisdom.
Where to begin… panel fit is good, ride height is even at all corners, corner lights and bumper brackets are in the right places, no obvious rot etc. Flat black is right up there with flat white and primer for smoothing things over and blending the bad and good. Front wheel appears to be a Borrani, rear a Fergat. Go look at it in person if you are serious about it -especially considering the sellers 80% feedback score and the rarity of SS parts.

Update 4/25/11:Â Wrong engine… wrong nose… missing trim… $28,655.55… I think I would have sold it…

Originally posted 4/15/11: Giulietta Sprint Speciale 10117 10120*00246. The latest to emerge from the woodwork since SS’s officially got expensive is this car on eBay right now out of Florida that scooterist Paul pointed out to me. I’ve seen it before -that nose is unmistakable, can’t remember when, but I think it had something to do with Bobcor, which I believe is no more.
It’s got nostrils. I’ve seen a few with this treatment. Some trim is missing up here. Hood fits good. Not bad on balance.

Market 308: 750D project in Texas.
Giulietta Spider 750D 1495*03964. This car is available now on the Alfa BB for the asking price of either $13,000 or $16,000. Pretty decent starting point from a completeness standpoint. Not sure about the price as I haven’t seen thorough pictures of the rust, the engine is not original and the car in Market 304 was better most-of-the-way-around for $13,200 and had a real Pininfarina hard top.
Front end is not bad. Looks to have had some slight mishaps over the years. I like this color and it is original to this car.

Market 307: Don't blink or you'll miss 750E 06600
Giulietta Sprint Veloce ‘Confortevole’ 750E 1493*06600, 1315*31079. This very complete and very rough and one of about 200 so very rare SVC was on eBay for all of about 2 hours before being purchased, Buy it Now for $12,000. Seller listed the car in Columbia, SC. Thanks Corey for pointing it out!
Pulled from what would have been a leafy death just in the nick of time. Headlights look like original Carello units. Hood fits great. Door hinges work. No evidence of rubbing noses with anyone too aggressively. Hints of bluette paint? A winner!
Yep -$12,000 smackeroo’s. A good deal? I’m going to say yes, would have been a solid deal at the $20,000+ it would have made if it had sold through the usual 7 day auction. One of these cars hasn’t changed hands in a while -especially in project form on the open market.

Market 303: 1600 Spider racer project
Update 4/21/11: 20 bids resulted in $3050. About right I suppose.

Originally published 4/13/11: Spider 1600 10123*378082. One of the unfortunates -beaten and abused from living fast in its youth. Ready now for some respect and care.

Market 306: 2 Sprint package deal in Greece
Giulietta Sprint 10102*156687 & 750B 1493*09653. Dimitrios sent me an email letting me know this pair of cars was available from a private party in Greece for €31,000 -about $44,700. The first car is a good driver without the original engine and not a Veloce according to d’Amico and Tabucchi. Second car is all apart and in bare metal. Some of the more prominent trim can be seen in the pictures as can some duplicate mechanical stuff, but no mention is made of an engine or transmission. If you’re interested, send me an email and I’ll get you in contact with the seller.
First the driver. Externally this car is in good shape with excellent panel fit, very fine trim/chrome and that purposeful poise of a car that gets used. There are several pictures of this car in the Flickr set (click on the VIN to go there) participating in an event in Greece.
