There are more scruffy project cars than usual on Italian eBay right now so I thought I should share some of my favorites. It’s odd to think that most of these cars would get an eager response from would be buyers if they turned up for sale on San Francisco Craigslist, but in Italy they are just old cars and better specimens can be found for not much money.
Looks a lot like the car Andrew has been restoring color and condition-wise. Nice setting by the way.
Same trailer, different Giulietta Berlina. I’d LOVE to find a pair of these here in the Bay Area!
The way the body forms the Alfa grill heart on these Matta’s is fantastic. It appears this car has been crying for years by the look of the rust trails coming down from the headlights. I’ll have to put this in my top 14 Alfa’s to own in the future.
I’m not sure what the problem is here. Maybe a barn find? Would be the talk of the Alfa BB if it turned up in Torrence Ca.
Apparently these early GT’s are nothing to get excited about in Italy. Just roll it out back with the scrap plywood and forget about it.
This car is straight and not horrible but values are so low on these you probably would have to give it away.
Another crappy big Alfa. I like the pea green.
Yet another sad GT, this one a Junior. Nice wheels.
Look for more picture shows in the future.
