Update 1\/24\/10 (2010\/01\/24 for you non-US based date readers): <\/strong>This car sold for $75,000 plus 10% buyers premium. \u00a0This is very strong money -above and beyond what anyone I have run into<\/a> estimated. \u00a0Reminds me of the Triumph TR4 that sold at auction a few years ago for $100K. \u00a0As I mentioned below, there are people for whom this kind of money is lunch money, and they only want perfect cars. \u00a0I wonder if it would have even made a difference if it was a 1600 Veloce. \u00a0Maybe a little is my guess.<\/p>\n

Giulia Spider 1600 10123*379814, 00112*12842.<\/strong> This Spider will be auctioned off by Gooding<\/a> Company at their Scottdale Az. Auction happening Jan. 22nd and 23rd.\u00a0 Description is rich with details and as I read it I imagine Allen De Cadenet reading it to me while powering around a circuit in it with is hair blowing around and the exhaust note just loud enough that he has to raise his voice.\u00a0 Let’s have a look at this “precisely restored to correct factory standards” car.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>So far so good, looking amazing in professionally photographed ripose.\u00a0 Door and hood fit very well, trim is all symmetrical, shiny and to a matched standard with the red paint.\u00a0 I never saw one at the dealer, but I’m willing to bet this is better than new.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Yes, as a matter of fact I did find this car on Anamera.\u00a0 As good from the rear as the front.\u00a0 Very saturated red in this picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>All red lenses are refreshing to see on a car this nice.\u00a0 Hard to find them in this good of condition.\u00a0 Perfection abounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>As it’s supposed to be.\u00a0 Anyone see a fault here?\u00a0 I’d have to see it in person to justify anything other than awe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Yes, very nice indeed.\u00a0 Even the gauges are amazing, rare for this gauge type.\u00a0 This is one of the best fitting fully upholstered style dash tops I’ve seen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Er, well, that’s not too bad really.\u00a0 I would take a point off if the engine is painted (it really must be to have such an even appearance) but know the feeling when you’ve put so much into everything else and just can’t get the aluminum to look great.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have an interest in these keep an eye on this one.\u00a0 Price is likely to be very strong considering the level finish and detailing.\u00a0 There are a lot of wealthy folks who can drop $40K like I buy a cheeseburger and they are only interested in cars like this.<\/p>\n
