Giulietta Spider 1495*02713.\u00a0 <\/strong>This car has been on Bringatrailer<\/a>, Craigslist and Alfa BB<\/a>.\u00a0 It may be still available, but I doubt it.\u00a0 This car is a 1957 which makes it elligible for events not open to 58 and later cars.\u00a0 Car is in San Diego and asking price of $14,000 is reasonable if it needs as little as the sellers description indicates.\u00a0 I am primarily adding this car for posterity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This is how you like to find them.\u00a0 Straight, dry and in need of the kind of improvement that is fun to do between drives.\u00a0 Hood and door fit looks excellent.\u00a0 I don’t see any evidence of rust.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Black plate is a big deal for some people.\u00a0 Trunk lid fit is good and car just looks ‘right’.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Everything here is set up to run.\u00a0 Note Bakelite valve cover bolts and Cavis green wires.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sellers description:\u00a0 “I have owned this Alfa for 13 years. I bought it from a man in his 70’s who purchased it in 1962 as a graduation gift for his daughter. She enjoyed the car for many years until she suffered a stroke and was no longer able to drive. It’s a true Black plate California car.<\/p>\n

When I bought the car it needed some floor sections and the trunk pan replaced however the body was completely rust free. I had the necessary metal work done and the car painted 12 years ago and it proceeded very slowly from there. I also had all of the chrome done at that time. Over the years it has suffered a few chips in the paint and a box fell from the rafters and cracked the windshield.<\/p>\n

The car has all new original style wiring. The car runs and drives but will need the choke hooked up and a new exhaust system to make it roadworthy. In the last 18 months I have had the brakes gone through, a new Optima battery installed, new original style hoses and belts, and many other mechanical things completed. The engine is original to the car and was rebuilt about 2 years before I bought it. An extra transmission comes with the car.<\/p>\n

The interior is loosely installed for picture purposes. I recovered some later model Fiat seats in original style material because I wanted my wife to have a headrest seat. The original seats come with the car. As you can see I have purchased a new rubber mat kit and a new carpet kit.<\/p>\n

Whatever chrome you don’t see in the pictures is still wrapped in paper from the chrome shop.<\/p>\n

This is a very solid, original Alfa that just needs a little final assembly to get it back on the road. For show purposes it would need to be repainted. Clear california title in my name. The car is non-op so no back fees are due to DMV if the car stays in California.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"\"<\/a>Remote oil filter is sensible upgrade, saving about 15 minutes of hassle once a year.\u00a0 Looks just right.\u00a0 Note blue square below voltage regulator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Nice little drool of overspray above the vin.\u00a0 Missing one wire grommet holder screw and the heater ducting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Unremarkable except for how solid it is.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Fortunately the original seats come with the car.\u00a0 I could live with this interior.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The blue is likely the other end of the wire with the blue square seen in the engine compartment picture.\u00a0 Several attempts have been made to fit stereos in this thing if the different holes around the opening in the dash tell the right story.\u00a0 Yellowed gauges are typical.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am digging this car.\u00a0 Condition\u00a0is about what I like in a driver, with perfectly tired carpet and all.\u00a0 If it was mine I’d reinstall the original seats, finish installing the brightwork, get the carb and exhaust sorted then start driving it.<\/p>\n

Anyone out there buy this?<\/p>\n
