Update 9\/18\/09:\u00a0 <\/strong>This car sold for $35,000 with 4 bidders joining the fray.\u00a0 I am thinking that this car was very impressive in person and the winning bidder went and saw it.\u00a0 Regardless, this is BIG money for a Spider Normale with the wrong engine.\u00a0 Well sold!\u00a0<\/p>\n

This car is essentially the same as my project Spider being a late 1300 in gray with red.\u00a0 Time to get to work.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Giulietta Spider 10103*170953.\u00a0 <\/strong>This car is available on eBay right now <\/a>out of Florida.\u00a0 Seller says it’s a restored 1962 1600 Spider.\u00a0 It was really born in 1961 and was originally a 1300.\u00a0 It’s not a Veloce, so it doesn’t really matter that it’s not powered by its original engine.<\/p>\n

\"frontThis is the same color combo as my spider, red on gray, and in my humble opinion, probably the best color combo for an Alfa of this period.\u00a0 Bumper over riders have been deleted.\u00a0 Stance is perfect, hood, door\u00a0and trim fit is as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"back<\/a>Tail lights are Euro version.\u00a0 From this view the trunk and door fit is still amazing.\u00a0 Whoever built this knew how to make these bodies fit together well or started from a very nice car.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can’t help but read that last sentence and reflect on the opening bid\u00a0 and Buy it now price $27,000 & $42,000 respectively.\u00a0\u00a0 I’ve seen good cars go for the low $30K’s but $42,000 for a Normale?\u00a0 Hmmmm.\u00a0 I predict a one bid buy.<\/p>\n
