I’ve walked by these cars a few times, not really giving them a second glance. I suppose they are better preserved than a lot of others hiding in backyard hedges beside tilted fences in wetter climates but it still smarts a little to see these sad though save-able cars.<\/p>\n

I’ve heard stories of running original Sprints robbed of mechanical parts to restore Spiders then cut up for disposal. It makes me wonder how many are left out there. I bet a third of the Sprints made still exist physically as cars but less than a third of those run. As the information age appropriates more of the world and makes it available perhaps the counts in registers and the like will become more accurate.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This guy is a pretty late Sprint 1300. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Dents, rust, dirt, missing parts… no problem. Talbot mirror looks cool. Is that a GTA fender on there?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Is that a hint of a blue stripe under there? I’ve seen other similarly striped Sprints elsewhere. Owner says this was the first Sprint he got and when he started removing paint and bondo to fix it up there wasn’t much underneath except little patches of stitched together metal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Home of diverse Spiders and small rodents. Lots of good parts or a difficult project. <\/strong><\/p>\n
