href=\"http:\/\/www.fantasyjunction.com\/cars\/817-Alfa%20Romeo-Giulietta%20Sprint%20Zagato-DOHC%201300cc%204-Cyl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fantasy Junction<\/a>,\u00a0went through Bonham&#8217;s earlier this month and failed to sell with an estimate between $240,000 and $270,000.\u00a0 Current asking price is $268,500 which, after FJ takes their 6% cut and monthly boarding fees, puts the seller in the low end of the above estimate.\u00a0 FJ is a natural venue for cars that fail to sell at the Monterey weekend auctions,\u00a0being close to\u00a0the action\u00a0and a very highly regarded outfit.\u00a0 I usually try to do a walk through a few saturdays after the big weekend to see what exotica has turned up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/08\/31261.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone subtle design, with function informing beauty at every intersection, and yet in all its spartan glory, it has headlight rings, grill trims and hubcaps &#8216;just in case&#8217;.\u00a0 A car in which again is it that they don&#8217;t make cars that look like this anymore?\u00a0 People call these &#8216;the football&#8217; a lot.\u00a0 I can see the reason, but I hate to reduce it in such a way.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/08\/31271.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" is the SVZ taken to the logical limit.\u00a0 There was never any pretense about bumpers.\u00a0 The delicate aliminum nose is rated at 0.001 mph, translating to about a quarter of an inch pound.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/08\/31269.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" favorite view of these cars but I would learn to like it I think if I encountered it in my garage enough times.\u00a0 The license plate cut out almost becomes a Kamm tail.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a own failures where even application of wrinkle finish is concerned, I have new respect for a whole dash done in the stuff.\u00a0 Gauges are metric.\u00a0 Steering wheel is nice.\u00a0 Floors are this control strip.\u00a0 Makes me wonder why they ever did it any other way.\u00a0 I&#8217;m trying to think of all the functions (or malfunctions in the case of my Sprint).\u00a0 Windshield wipers, the plenum in black.\u00a0 They painted these because the early originals were supposedly Magnesium.\u00a0 Green wires, correct fuel line etc.\u00a0 This car was treated right.\u00a0 Valve cover nuts are normale type, but then so is the basis of this engine rebuild -a 00102 Spider\/Sprint\u00a01300 normal\u00a0block, likely kitted with modern Veloce internals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/08\/31389.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4663\" title=\"31389\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/08\/31389.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C224\" alt=\"31389\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" include this because an original recently failed to meet reserve on eBay for $2000!\u00a0 I can&#8217;t say how many of these tools are original, but the kit looks nice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Neat car.\u00a0 Lots of money but in no excuses condition other than not having an 00120 engine.\u00a0 I am beginning to understand the kind of guy who can buy this car from email conversations.\u00a0 The price doesn&#8217;t really matter from an ability to afford it perspective, it&#8217;s just part of the horse trading fun and bragging rights to get a &#8216;deal&#8217;.\u00a0 Hopefully it wont leave
