href=\"http:\/\/www.anamera.com\/en\/detail\/car\/41820\/index.html?no_cache=1&amp;ret=63\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advertised for sale on Anamera<\/a>.\u00a0 I had the pleasure of answering a bunch of questions about this car last year when it was for sale in Autoweek out of the South East (Georgia?) for I think it was $29,000.\u00a0 Well, the car has gotten around as these cars do and now it is as seen here.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The $30,000 question is: Is it a Veloce?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/2aeb7c52cc.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3691\" title=\"2aeb7c52cc\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/2aeb7c52cc.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"2aeb7c52cc\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" far so good.\u00a0 A very well done car with much attention to detail spent.\u00a0 Someone in the market for a nice one would be asking for more pictures and \/><\/a><strong>Appears to have Borrani steels considered obligatory on Veloce models.\u00a0 Again, panels fit and attention to detail is superb.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/40f41f53e2.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3697\" title=\"40f41f53e2\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/40f41f53e2.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"40f41f53e2\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/40f41f53e2.jpeg?w=750&amp;ssl=1 750w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/40f41f53e2.jpeg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><strong>Strike one, no ridge in the trunk for the oversize gastank breather that all Sprint Veloce&#8217;s have.\u00a0 A quick look under the car will confirm this and I bet it doesn&#8217;t have the Veloce E-brake set-up either.\u00a0 Other than that, an exemplary trunk!\u00a0 I&#8217;m surprised they didn&#8217;t spring for stock the prop and spring trunk lid holder.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/e664190079.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3695\" title=\"e664190079\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/e664190079.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" \/><\/a><strong>Spider underhood lining is forgivable, since Sprint item is hard to get in the US.\u00a0 Veloce intake is in good shape and appears correct other than the manifold being incorrect, should be the tapered top-tube sort.\u00a0 Also should have headers rather than 2 piece cast exhaust manifold.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/fb8eacea05.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3696\" title=\"fb8eacea05\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/fb8eacea05.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"fb8eacea05\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/fb8eacea05.jpeg?w=750&amp;ssl=1 750w, \/><\/a><strong>Interior, although not an original combo, looks very comfy and inviting.\u00a0 Red with tan is the sort of\u00a0 thing you expect from an Italian sports car right?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/c8b5d8fe19.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3702\" title=\"c8b5d8fe19\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/c8b5d8fe19.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"c8b5d8fe19\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/c8b5d8fe19.jpeg?w=750&amp;ssl=1 750w, \/><\/a><strong>I&#8217;ll call this one strike even though it should really be two: the tach redline should be higher (?)\u00a0and the red triangle doesn&#8217;t doesn&#8217;t look right (?), and there is a choke knob, which may or may not be correct at this point in Veloce production.\u00a0\u00a0 Also the patina on the tach is different than the other two gauges, the ring is not as yellowed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/19103.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3703\" title=\"19103\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/19103.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C224\" alt=\"19103\" \/><\/a><strong>Here&#8217;s an original Tach in a Veloce of the same period that sold at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fantasyjunction.com\/carsSold\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fantasy Junction <\/a>a few years ago, that has the choke knob.\u00a0 I wonder when\u00a0the choke blank off button\u00a0went away?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/477cbce014.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3692\" title=\"477cbce014\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/477cbce014.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"477cbce014\" \/><\/a><strong>Good looking, and no mistake, but these badges are not hard to get.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/e104771ab9.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3694\" title=\"e104771ab9\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/05\/e104771ab9.jpeg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"e104771ab9\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><strong>Repro build plate, affixed by the wrong style of screws\u00a0with the wrong stamp font used identifying it as a Veloce.\u00a0 Strike three?\u00a0 Not necessarily, but I would want to see the &#8216;E&#8217;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In my non-expert and usually humble opinion, \u00a0this is not a Veloce.\u00a0 I looked in d&#8217;Amico and Tabucchi who are very thorough in their listing of Veloce&#8217;s and this car is not included.\u00a0 I asked the seller to send me a picture of the underside Veloce features and the &#8216;E&#8217; but got no response.\u00a0 I have correspondance from the seller from when it was in Autoweek if anyone is interested.<\/p>\n<p>If the engine is really a 1315*3xxxx series Veloce engine that is well rebuilt with the right internals and this car functions as good as it looks I can see it going for $30K or more, but to spend Veloce money ($50K plus) on it, ship it home and find out it&#8217;s not would probably result in some legal headaches for both the buyer and seller.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nice car that is hopefully being misrepresented out of a lack of knowledge rather than an attempt to dupe a prospective buyer.<\/p>\n<p>Comps:<\/p>\n<p><a
