Birthday to Giuliettas.com!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a year since I started giuliettas dot com and while I&#8217;ve entertained a few\u00a0milestones along the way (<a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2008\/09\/24\/giuliettas-dot-com-turns-100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100 posts<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/03\/27\/today-im-101-200-603-72434\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">200 posts <\/a>etc) , I think\u00a0 this one is pretty big for me.\u00a0 If you told me\u00a0I was going to accomplish the things I&#8217;ve accomplished over the last year I probably wouldn&#8217;t have believed you, so I&#8217;ll start with the numbers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is my 224th post meaning I&#8217;ve posted on average 4.25 times per week.<\/li>\n<li>My posts average 1000 words, so I&#8217;ve written about 224,000 words; 1\/3 of &#8216;War and Peace&#8217; or a little more than the New Testament.<\/li>\n<li>112 Market reports have been written covering 115 cars, not counting <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/04\/27\/market-91-early-spider-veloce-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">repeat sales <\/a>or <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/03\/31\/sprint-speciale-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attempts at sales<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>On <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/03\/24\/berlina-register-newsletter-28-out-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 24th<\/a>, I had 605 page views, my most ever and about double my 2009 average of 308.\u00a0 2008 average was 197, not bad for starting from zero!<\/li>\n<li>If you are reading this on 4\/30\/09 you are a page view\u00a0between 85,500 and 86,000 total.<\/li>\n<li>I have <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/ss-spotted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">identified<\/a> 97 Sprint Speciales as existing, 4 as scrapped (but who knows what the future holds).<\/li>\n<li>My <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/production-register\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">register<\/a> has grown to include 512 cars, not including reference cars.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/truck-close-up.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/><\/a><strong>I wanted to see what my Sprint would look like\u00a0with the Zagato Lownose treatment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/sprint-in-truck.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3607\" \/><\/a><strong>So I got behind a truck and took a picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Among the other milestones are the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2008\/07\/31\/berlina-recommission-becomes-sprint-originalization-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">saved a 1972 Berlina from the crusher<\/a>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s now for sale.\u00a0 $2700.\u00a0 Anyone?<\/li>\n<li>I <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2008\/08\/12\/sprint-to-berlina-engine-swap-advances-part-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">successfully rebuilt the original Engine <\/a>for my Sprint.<\/li>\n<li>I bought a <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/04\/20\/market-110-one-of-the-last-1300-giulietta-spiders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decent Spider project <\/a>to keep me over extended.<\/li>\n<li>I made some <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2008\/04\/30\/giulietta-sprint-speciale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">progress on the SS<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/2.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" this on the internet, perhaps a good direction to take the Spider.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There you have it, one year old and no candles to blow out, no presents to open, just the satisfaction of having
