The seller says the price depends on where he is in the restoration ($45,000 as of 4\/8\/09, 5:42 pm) when a buyer appears which is practical.  It looks to me like all that is really left to do is the clean assembly that can seem to take forever but is generally regarded as fun. Note there are two extra holes in the back panel for back-up lights. The reverse lights blend in with the silver background nicely. Steering wheel, pedal box  and gauges look restored but are original. These cars usually had black firewall and inner fenders etc, but in body color it really looks clean.  Intake manifold and head are correct 101  1300 items. I like the dull dark silver on the springs. A few scrapes in the new paint are understandable.  101 1300 Veloce oil pan pokes through.  Exhaust looks to be polished stainless.  It&#8217;s a relief to see some imperfections in the underside of the frame rails.  I&#8217;ll have to smooth mine out when I do the body on my SS so I get the extra point at the concours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/topview.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3209\" title=\"SS 339 topview\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/topview.jpg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C203\" alt=\"SS 339 topview\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/topview.jpg?w=590&amp;ssl=1 590w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/topview.jpg?resize=300%2C204&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><strong>Here&#8217;s a period &#8216;just back from paint&#8217; view. Not much different than what I am working with these days.  Is that a can of beer on the wall?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If I had the current $45,000 asking this is the SS I would buy.  It&#8217;s an early car with the correct engine and  loads of documentation of work done to a stunning standard.  If this car interests you I suggest you act fast, this is a great deal on a very nice, no excuses car.
