You’ve all seen these, or at least most of them, I know I have, but I had a special request recently that included some examples.\u00a0 The premise of the request is seemingly that, well, obviously the Italians invented the use of sex to sell cars, I mean, who else??\u00a0 {Insert carefully researched claim that in fact, the\u00a0Greeks invented the use of sex to sell chariots -oh, wait no, it was the Chinese and Rickshaws…}. Nowadays you see a good looking young woman with perfect semi-curly hair and green eyes in a drug company bus stop poster making you think herpes might not be so bad. \u00a0 Next thing you know they will be using sex to sell celibacy.\u00a0 Ahh, but I degress.\u00a0 Here are a group of advertising pictures featuring the perfect woman lending her allure to the, in this case, alluring enough product.\u00a0 Enjoy.<\/p>\n

\"alfaromeojuniorzagatoadvertisement05\"<\/a>Very nice.\u00a0\u00a0Perfect\u00a0composition in this one.\u00a0 Proof that sexy only needs to be hinted at to be effective.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"moz-screenshot-29\"<\/a>She is reclining on a fairly early Sprint.\u00a0 I wonder how they went about getting models for this sort of thing in 1955.\u00a0 She is probably the bosses daughter or some such.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"moz-screenshot-32\"<\/a>She doesn’t look extremely happy about the whole thing, but she is leaning on the very first Giulietta Sprint (more on this car later)!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"moz-screenshot-31\"<\/a>I think everyone has seen this set.\u00a0 I get kind of a cute\/wholesome message from this one.\u00a0 Good color use between her top and the car.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

There you have it, a group of ladies who are probably 80+ if they are still alive but whose lovliness\u00a0can always be\u00a0glimpsed through this window.\u00a0 Makes you realize, as I did the first time I watched ‘My Fair Lady’ at maybe 14, that the heroine may have gone on to a quieter place, but her image, captured in all its youthful ummm youthfulness and beauty,\u00a0can be appreciated forever.\u00a0 Immortality in a sense.\u00a0 I wonder how it will work out for the ladies in the previous installments of Pushing Product.<\/p>\n
