Giulietta Spider 750D 1495*02549, engine 1315*42308. <\/strong>This Spider project is available now on eBay. From the description I am not sure exactly what you get besides the body, block and license plate w\/title. Seller contacted the Alfa archive and received this response:<\/p>\n

“According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1495.02549 and the engine number AR 1315.42308 originally correspond to an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, Manufactured on the 9th of August 1957 and sold on the 18th September 1957 to Hoffman Motor Car Co. New York, USA. The body colour is red.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"blackSingle black plates are not expensive in this shape. VUN is pretty late in the Black plate run.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"7100_1\"Steering box being present is a plus, these early boxes with the bean shaped cover go for a few hundred bucks in decent shape.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"52ea_1\"Motor mount, dip stick, timing cover and the numbers matching block for the car. Stamping is how these are supposed to look.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"6a11_1\"Firewall numbers as they should be. Wow it’s a shame this car was let sit without any sort of protection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"62a4_1\"Rocker needs some work. Where did all the parts go? Probably separately on eBay…\u00a0 Bolted on wheels means a lot of the suspension is present.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"660e_1\"Floors, not so good, but I’ve seen much worse. I wonder how bad it would look if the patch panels were not giving the illusion of solidity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"100_0459-vi\"Again, bad but far from the worst I’ve seen. Needs a ton of work, financially probably not worth fixing, but someone will.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"100_0463-vi\"Trunk corner doesn’t look too bad, usually these cars are a disaster back here if left in the elements.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Okay, there you have it, another early Spider that somehow cheated death and is now looking for someone to take care of it.\u00a0 I think this is about the same as this Spider Veloce project <\/a>but doesn’t get the extra value\u00a0bump that being a Veloce adds.\u00a0 $600 – $800 would be fair,\u00a0but if the right buyer or two of the right buyer\u00a0are\u00a0in the area\u00a0this car lives it could see $1000 or even $1500 if a bidding war ensues, but don’t count on it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
