A true Veloce by serial number. $39,500 spent on engine (rebuilt), transmission (rebuilt), suspension and brakes. Repainted in the original color. Drives well, as would be expected of a rebuilt car. Evidence of some rust repairs to the underside, but generally a straight, solid car. would have painted over hinge hardware, so I rate this slightly above that.\u00a0 Door handle could use a $50 rechrome, tsk tsk.\u00a0 I think there is a piece of weatherstripping missing too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2294\" title=\"heart and lungs\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/02\/26408.jpeg?resize=450%2C337\" alt=\"heart and lungs\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26408.jpeg?w=654&amp;ssl=1 654w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26408.jpeg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><strong>Pretty good first pass clean up in here, a little better than what I did for my Sprint.\u00a0 If the polish on the valve cover matched the intake plenum and the ignition wires were the $40 green repro&#8217;s it would be much improved for not much money.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2295\" title=\"trunk\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/02\/26412.jpeg?resize=450%2C337\" alt=\"trunk\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26412.jpeg?w=654&amp;ssl=1 654w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26412.jpeg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>Okay, I spoke to soon, they painted over the shock top hardware and the little rubber end on the prop so it is a standard driver restoration.\u00a0 Very tidy though.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2296\" title=\"26429\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/02\/26429.jpeg?resize=450%2C337\" alt=\"26429\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26429.jpeg?w=654&amp;ssl=1 654w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/26429.jpeg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><strong>Let&#8217;s not beat around the bush here, this isn&#8217;t &#8216;evidence of rust repair&#8217; as though the jury is still out.\u00a0 This car has had rust repair.\u00a0 It appears to have been competently done, but not to a very high standard.\u00a0 It&#8217;s hard to find one of these Spiders that doesn&#8217;t either need rust repair or have signs of past rust repair, so no worries.\u00a0 The &#8216;business&#8217; all looks good though.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nice unassuming car and a decent value if everything works as good as described and it looks as good in person as the pictures.\u00a0 At $31,500 this is approximately the money you would be into AR390222 from <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/01\/27\/market-81-last-of-the-giulietta-spider-veloces\/\">Market #81 <\/a>if you bought it, spruced it up and put it on the road.\u00a0 AR390549 from <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.com\/2009\/01\/08\/market-76-older-resto-65-giulia-spider-veloce\/\">Market #76 <\/a>may be a better value as it is a clean, sorted, attractive example for $7500 more asking than this car, but I haven&#8217;t seen it in person either so that may not\u00a0prove so.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I imagine the color will dissuade some potential buyers but that it will eventually find a home without much fuss.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Giulia Spider Veloce 101.18 AR390652, Engine AR00121.02393.\u00a0 This car is available right now from Fantasy Junction, asking price is $31,500.\u00a0 They describe it thus: &#8220;Outstanding \u2018driver\u2019 standard restoration. 2,500 miles since completion.
