{"id":1504,"date":"2008-10-29T08:42:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-29T15:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/giuliettas.wordpress.com\/?p=1504"},"modified":"2008-10-29T08:42:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-29T15:42:00","slug":"alfa-ss-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/2008\/10\/29\/alfa-ss-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Alfa SS Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Giulietta or Giulia &#8216;Alfa SS Project&#8217; was forwarded to me by Elmar who has seemingly volunteered to hunt down Vin numbers of SS&#8217;s for me in Europe (Thanks Elmar!!!) and I added several new SS&#8217;s to the register with his help.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/gtamotorworks.com\/?cat=8\">company<\/a> that has this Frankenstein on their website also makes Alfa repair panels for SZ, GTA etc.\u00a0 I suppose if all\u00a0you have\u00a0is the body, without any other parts, this sort of thing makes sense, and everyone would approach it differently so I can&#8217;t really criticize too much, but from the pictures it&#8217;s going to look like an SS body with a Spider nose and Milano wheels rather than some cool &#8216;ooh, what&#8217;s that&#8217; special.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/10\/download4.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1505\" title=\"SS meet spider meet milano\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/10\/download4.jpg?w=300&#038;resize=300%2C199\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/download4.jpg?w=576&amp;ssl=1 576w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/download4.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><strong>I have long thought that a GTV or Giulietta roof on a Duetto would make for a neat special, but a Spider nose on an SS&#8230; not so much.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/10\/download3.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1506\" title=\"ss project\" src=\"http:\/\/giuliettas.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/10\/download3.jpg?resize=450%2C261\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/download3.jpg?w=576&amp;ssl=1 576w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rufushamilton.com\/giuliettas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/download3.jpg?resize=300%2C174&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><strong>Looking at their SZ repair panels I&#8217;d think a replica of the Molteni low-nose would have been a better route\u00a0than this.\u00a0 It looks like they actually sectioned the hood into the lower windshield sill.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Their description of the project:\u00a0 &#8220;<span style=\"font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri;\">We started with a Milano 75 platform shortened the wheelbase to 92.5 inches and then mated the SS body from the windscreen back flaring the wheel arches for a wider stance.
