7\/20\/2018:\u00a0<\/strong>This car is back on eBay<\/a> after nearly two years. Where is the market now?\u00a0 If I was, err, well, actually no – there isn’t much of a circumstance where I would buy this because I have a lot of projects I could do in 20 minutes I can’t seem to find time for.\u00a0 \u00a0Seller has an 80% feedback rating.\u00a0 Does that matter?\u00a0 Not if you do the homework you should do regardless of the sellers feedback.<\/p>\n

Someone is going to buy this and it will be a lot better car than it seems like it is in the pictures.<\/p>\n

11\/04\/2016 (sorry euro-date folks): Giulietta Spider Veloce 10107 1495*11643<\/a>, 00111*30278 (1960 TI engine). \u00a0<\/strong>From the Daniel J. Rapley seemingly never ending stockpile of Giulietta projects and available now on eBay<\/a> is this 1960 Spider Veloce. \u00a0Original engine is missing, but a Veloce item is said to be available. \u00a0Car is complete and straight enough to be a good candidate, but a chunk of change will be required to get the rockers in good shape. \u00a0Why do I call it a long stalled project? \u00a0That silver respray appears to be quite old, and yet never to have seen\u00a0the light of motoring day.<\/p>\n

One wonders where this has been hiding? \u00a0I am frequently surprised by the continual coming-out-of-the-woodwork of Giuliettas. \u00a0This car looks decent at first fluch, but the rockers are pretty bad, and when you dig into the rockers – you are starting from the bottom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The good tail lights. \u00a0Maybe it did drive around in this paint. \u00a0License plate mounting has a temporary measure look to it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A particularly poor engine compartment – but it all has to come apart anyway, so who cares right?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The almighty F. \u00a0Used to be you had to look for a bunch of clues that a car was a Veloce, now you just look it up in d’Amico and Tabucchi – they list all Veloces by vin. \u00a0No guess work!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You have to want to do a Veloce from the beginning – maybe as a challenge. \u00a0It’s all here – it’s all needing to come apart then go back together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The planet has been trying to reclaim this one for a while. \u00a0Rust will win in the end – but it should take a while.<\/strong><\/p>\n
