Giulietta Sprint 10102*24709, 00102*17231. \u00a0<\/strong>This fellow was listed at Fantasy Junction<\/a> in their new arrivals, and it went from there directly to their Sold listings. \u00a0I stopped by to ask Spencer about it and he told me they put it on their site and had a deposit that day. \u00a0Asking was $52,500 and they got a thick hair below that. \u00a0Tom Sahines recently did some work on\u00a0it (a good thing!) for the seller, and it looks to be very nice looker\/driver. \u00a0Someone is in for some fun with a good looking blond.<\/p>\n

It’s funny to be putting fresh eyes on a Market Report – it’s been a while since I did more than a quick one. \u00a0Everything here looks tidy and proper. \u00a0I wonder how they get the licorice rope edging to stay on the car? \u00a0You can see mine on the header above is lifting.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was a European delivery car, a fact that means little except metric gauges, big corner marker lights and amber tail light tops and probably some other little details a few guys are sure to point out in the comments below.<\/strong>\"Screen<\/a><\/p>\n

I occasionally see guys looking for these license plate holders… I’m not sure why. \u00a0I always thought they looked like a single use lasagna pan hanging off the back of the car – I know, “but that’s what they came with”. \u00a0Someone in this country should make a repro of this that is the right height for a US license plate. \u00a0I think it would improve the overall interruption of the curves of the beast. \u00a0Not a criticism of this car mind you – just my opinion of these plate holders. \u00a0Of course if it had a plate that said “ROMA” it would evoke memories of pizza and Amarone at\u00a0Navona Notte and I’d forget about automotive styling entirely.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A healthy dose of two-tone at work here. \u00a0Very attractive steering wheel, and all the difficult little details are attended to. \u00a0There’s not even any overspray in the door jambs.<\/strong>\u00a0\"Screen<\/a>Pioneer “Super-tuner” has gone missing, leaving a good substitute for “La Bocca della Verita<\/a>” where you can demonstrate your honesty to the officer when he pulls you over a few blocks from home going too fast in a 25 mph zone because the exhaust note sounds so good at 4500 rpm in 3rd gear.<\/strong>\"Screen<\/a>\u00a0Black wrinkle finish powdercoat seems to have found an adoring audience. \u00a0This is a really tidy engine bay, and that Weber even has the proper air cleaner adapter.<\/strong>\"Screen<\/a>\u00a0Just the facts, stamped out in the proper font with the properly varying depth of strike. \u00a0Even the screws are correct -that’s good for a few extra HP, and with the original 1300 you’re going to need them.<\/strong>\"Screen<\/a><\/p>\n

I like these in white. \u00a0I say that whenever I write about one, but it’s true. \u00a0Mine is red and I am currently of a mind to just repaint it to red and be done with it, but I can’t help but think about how cool it would look in white, and I’m way to busy to pull it apart for paint, so I can cut and paste this observation into the next white Sprint write up and it will still be true.<\/strong>\"Screen<\/a><\/p>\n

That there is one of those stamped steel Veloce oil pans that they made too many of and appear frequently on 1959 – 1961 normal<\/em> cars, or is it that they all got these and guys put on the later single piece cast pans that came on the later cars thinking those were better. \u00a0Are they better? \u00a0Consensus of improvement-intending actions says so, but I haven’t seen any calibrated gauge pressure readings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
