3\/15\/12: Glas 1700GT<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/strong>First -pardon the non-Giulietta market post, but as I mentioned when I got my Glas GT, I plan on there being an occasional aside to the headlining act, and someone has to try and figure out what the market for these cars is.\u00a0 This car is on eBay<\/a> out of Illinois.\u00a0 Looks to be too rusty to be a viable restoration candidate, but the sheet metal is ALL available and very inexpensive -too bad it’s as much work to weld up one of these as a Giulietta Sprint.\u00a0 There are no pictures of the engine -maybe they couldn’t get the hood open!<\/p>\n

Pretty straight and complete looking.\u00a0 Shame about the door rust and, well, all the other rust too.\u00a0 Headlight rings are aluminum.\u00a0 Front bumper really makes the front end look a lot more complete than it looks without it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Someone stole the tail lights.\u00a0 Would be interesting to see this car in person and get an idea how indicative this surface rust is of the condition of the underside<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These cars have a very interesting rear suspension set up.\u00a0 Differential looks pretty odd too.\u00a0 Underside of the car doesn’t seem too rusty.\u00a0 There is a license plate frame in the trunk with “Hayward” on it -maybe a California car? Note the two-into-one exhaust.<\/strong><\/p>\n
