Giulia Spider 1600 10123<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/strong>This car is available on Hemmings<\/a> out of South Carolina for $39,500.\u00a0 Seller is listing it for a late friend – I presume for the estate.\u00a0 Condition looks really good, with some non-original touches that don’t really detract unless you’re a serious purist.<\/p>\n

I like how clean the lines are in white -and when the rest is all blacks and silvers, it lends an almost clinical beauty.\u00a0 Hood and door fit well.\u00a0 Chromed wheels may have been a dealer add-on.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This side is equally attractive.\u00a0 It’s hard to get a car to this level of finish.\u00a0 Ask just about anyone who has gone through a restoration where they had a hand in the final assembly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think gas fill caps were originally not chrome, but with chrome wheels…\u00a0 Is that two paint code stickers?\u00a0 There is an odd little bracket riveted to<\/strong> the vertical separation panel. <\/strong>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

More nearly monochrome.\u00a0 While restored it looks inviting rather than intimidating.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Impressive that they left the lubricant etc sticker on the underside of the hood alone.\u00a0 It’s not as hard as it seems to tuck the edges of the underhood ‘quilt’ under the edges of the hood frame.\u00a0 I think it was originally this way.\u00a0 Radiator overflow tubing and VDO wash bag are welcome breaks from the sterility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A question for those with Webers like this: Is the improvement worth the loss of the original air box assembly?<\/strong>\u00a0 Very nicely detailed engine compartment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I see a Koni.\u00a0 Interesting choice to let the chassis stiffener below the engine\/transmission joint be the dividing line between white frame rails and black under coating.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m reluctant to call this an original hardtop, but I suspect it is.<\/strong><\/p>\n
