1\/10\/12: Giulia Spider Veloce 1600 10118*390015<\/a>, 00121*01569.\u00a0 <\/strong>From our pal’s Luzzago <\/a>comes this 1600 Spider Veloce.\u00a0 You have to call them and engage in human interaction if you want to know the asking price -I’m going to guess that price is in line with the asking price we’ve seen for similar cars as such places as Fantasy Junction.\u00a0 All areas of the car are described in ALL CAPS as PERFECT.\u00a0 Go look in person, bring a parts book and a magnet.<\/p>\n

It’s red.\u00a0 It’s a late spider.\u00a0 It’s got a luster that triggers desire.\u00a0 It looks damn good.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Top up is not the best display mode.\u00a0 Wears a Milano plate.\u00a0 Rear window is nice and clear.\u00a0 Trunk fit is excellent.<\/strong>\u00a0 Wheels are Fergats.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is it just me, or does it look like the rim lip was flattened at about 2 of the clock?\u00a0 Shiny shiny shiny.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Looks pretty good.\u00a0 They spared us the plastic and rubber ‘wet look’ chemicals.\u00a0 Phew.\u00a0 There doesn’t appear to be a battery installed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Red and black and black and red and …\u00a0 I like the steering wheel.\u00a0 Some kind of big plastic rado blank plate on the dash.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gauges are yellower than I would have expected.\u00a0 I’m not sure if anyone reproduces lenses for these gauges.\u00a0 Anyone?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Y’know, a 105 1600 intake set up is not expensive and is pretty well indistinguishable from the correct stuff.\u00a0 So why the single carb?\u00a0 I would be VERY interested in driving it with this set up.\u00a0 Other than that it’s acceptably presented.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To avoid confusion.\u00a0 Late Veloce’s didn’t have an F since they had their own prefix -10118.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think it would be interesting to compare a 10118 Spider Veloce with a 750F Veloce to get a sense of the evolution of the species.\u00a0 I’ve had the pleasure of giving a 750F some stick -I guess my time will come to drive a 10118.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
